Day 9 and 10

I feel like this is getting repetitive. I get up and weigh myself after going pee. I get dressed, work, drink coffee and tea and end up writing about the same things every day. I do feel better and my shirts fit better. I know this and a friend commented that I am glowing. I guess I do feel better about myself and that has made a difference in my whole countenance. So, as of this morning, I am -15.4 pounds. If I could average another pound a day for the next 30 days I will have hit my goal. We’ll see how this al goes. I’m going to have to add more variety to my food. I do miss some of my old food but can get back there when this is all over. I wonder how those foods will taste in another month. Will I even want them or will they still taste god to me. I don’t know. Only time will tell. Enough rambling. I’ll write again tomorrow.

Day 8

ore pounds shed and feeling better all the time. Had eggs for lunch and soup for dinner. Dropped another 1.8 pounds for a total of -14 as of one week with only five of those days being on the restricted calories. I think most of the toxins are out of my body and feel better and stronger each day. Soups again filled me so much that I could not eat my apple after dinner. It’s funny how little fills me up now. I wonder what this will be like when I finish this phase of the diet.

Day 7

I know I’m a little late getting this written but I worked well past midnight and was too tired to write when I got done.

I got up in the morning and had lost another pound. That made me -12.2 in a very short time. My shirts are starting to fit better and my kilts don’t dig into me. I’m getting excited about hitting my target weight and if I arrive there before the 40 days of this phase I might just jump to the next phase.

For lunch I ate hamburgers and lettuce with Melba toast and lots of water and finished it all off with an apple. Went to the YMCA and walked on the treadmill for 45 minutes then into the sauna for 20 minutes. I’m looking forward to these trips as well. For dinner I tried new recipe called savory chicken soup. It left me so full that I never ate my apple. Mostly, it was nice to not have to choke down lettuce with the meal since I’m getting sick of lettuce already. I might have to try some of the other veggies on the list that I don’t usually like.

Short night sleep since I worked so late but am feeling pretty good today. I did notice though, that with the reduced food intake, I have spent less time on the toilet. Hopefully no constipation comes with this diet. I do know I’ve had a LOT more roughage in the last week than I probably have had in the last three years. I guess we’ll wait and see.

Day 6

Today started like the others with coffee and green tea although I was tired since I had a hard time sleeping. Lesson learned – no tea at night.

Scale read – 11.2 pounds today.

Kind of light headed but not sure if that was due to lack of sleep or lack of food. I had eggs and lettuce with an apple and Melba toast piece for lunch and chicken strips in hot sauce on lettuce an apple and Melba toast. Walked on the treadmill for an hour and followed that up with 20 minutes on the treadmill. A good day overall and I look forward to the scale in the morning.

Day 5

Today started with me on the scale dropping another 3.6 pounds for a total (as of this morning) of -8.2 pounds. I feel better today and the headache/lightheadedness seems to be much less today. I have not felt hunger pangs yet and am grateful. Had green tea, coffee and water until lunch time.

Lunch was one egg and two egg-whites with a little hot-sauce mixed in served on lettuce. One piece of Melba toast and my meal was complete. Dessert, if you can call it that was an apple. I’m actually beginning to look forward to the apple. I gave up Peanut Butter cups and chocolate and now compared to lettuce and Melba toast, this is a very sweet wonderful food.

After lunch I went to the YMCA and walked on the treadmill for 45 minutes. According to the machine I burned 267 calories while walking at at a slow pace. That meant I was – 3 calories for the day when I got done. Twenty minutes in the sauna then a shower and back to work. I also drank about 50 ounces of water and had to pee 5 times while there. All this liquid keeps me moving.

I drank more water as the afternoon went on and then had my hamburgers and lettuce for dinner with another piece of Melba toast. I was getting full eating dinner but forced myself to eat everything. Then ate an apple in the car while driving to Theology on Tap.

I had to explain to everyone why I was drinking tea and not a pitcher of beer and a pizza. They seemed to understand and wanted to learn more. People were concerned with the speed of weight lost but if this works and does indeed reset my hypothalamus then they can say whatever they want to. I will fit into my clothes and maybe even be a little healthier. I look forward to tomorrow.

Day 4

This is day four of my HCG diet and I will try and write every day. This is my second day of eating very low calories after loading on fat rich food for the first two days. Yesterday and today were my 500 calorie days and I will continue on this for the next month plus a few days.

Initial thoughts. Coffee for breakfast and green tea. While not filling, I never was hungry. Yesterday and today I had the same lunch, two small burger patties (100 grams of beef mixed with some spices and a clove of garlic) served on a bed of lettuce and followed b an apple. During the day I drank a little over 100 ounces of water. For dinner I had a shrimp scampi meal also served on lettuce since I don’t like most vegetables. All of this was followed with another apple. Bed time by 10:00 with two pee breaks in the night (12:15 and 5:30).

One the scale this morning I was 3.2 pounds lighter than yesterday morning (mostly water weight I’m assuming). All of this leaves me at -4.4 since Thursday morning.

Today I repeated the morning coffee and tea and barely made it through church without having to go to the bathroom. Drank water through a meeting and then repeated hamburger lunch with an apple and a Melba toast piece. Ate my apple after the meal. For dinner I made chicken which I cut into strips and added two table spoons of hot sauce. Served this over a bed of lettuce (again) and finished the meal with an apple. Even though I wasn’t very hungry I made myself eat. Maybe it was the 100 ounces of water.

After two days of 1000 calories total I am not experiencing hunger pains but do have a slight headache. Not sure if it’s from all this water or the low calorie intake. It will be interesting to see how things progress from here. I’ll write more tomorrow night.
